What makes my mom so special is what makes most moms so special… Her strength and determination to get through the challenges that life throws at her and her innate ability to look back at those times and laugh.

The word unique was made for my mother. She has endured so much, but possesses a humble and noble outlook on life. She is not afraid to be herself, cherishes and preaches the power of education, and offers a wonderful example of what a strong women is. Her unselfishness is amazing. She’s never thought twice about putting her family’s needs above her own.

Now that I’m in my 30’s and have started my own family, I have a huge appreciation of what it is to be a mother, and for my own mom. As caregiver, financier, nurse, inspirational coach, cook, maid, teacher…she did it with no complaining, and through it all, she still laughs easily and often. I love you mom!
