Not only is the food to die for (Frosted flake french toast, does it get any better??) but the service is lightning fast. They’re always couteous and humorous and the entire atmoshphere is warm and inviting.

The Original Cafe in Methuen on Lowell St. is a at home friendly kind of place!!!The food is GREAT!!! My kids make me stop just about every morning to get their favorite kind of scones, oh lets not forget my green tea of course! It’s like the show Cheers, where everyone knows your name or a name that they have giving you! If you are a regular like me. THE GREEN TEA LADY!!! This is the name they (all) call me everytime I go in there. They know just what I like and how I like it… As a matter of fact I think I will stop there again tonight for one of their famous specials! So if you have not tried this little gem of ours here in Methuen you really should, You will be glad you did!!!

The Original Cafe in Methuen – Wonderful food and great people running the place. They are very accomodating for people who have food allergies. Try the French Dip or any of the omelets you will be very happy.

The original cafe is a wonderful place. The food is always delicious and very fresh,and the people behind the counter are always friendly and willing to please. We always plan our errands around the cafe to be sure that we visit at least once per week.

this place is an unknown jewel in Methuen, Mass. my wife and i have been going there for i would say easily almost a year now, the food is freshly prepared while you wait seated at small cafe tables. we have eaten breakfast, lunch, and supper there i can honestly say we have never been disappointed with the food, service, friendliness, and the cleanliness is spot on. bakery goods a freshly baked and scrumptious too, my favorite in the Molasses cookies, yummy. we frequent the restaurant at least once a week and some times more depending on our schedule. i would not hesitate to recommend The Original Cafe to to anyone, as a matter of fact i have, try you’ll like it, Mikey does.

I’ve eaten there several times and the food and service has been consistently great! Prices are right and the pours are generous. What a great addition to the North Shore and Lynn.

I vote for The Original Cafe!
As I see many people have already implied the food is just incredible… I eat there on average 5 times a week, but buyer beware go there a few times in a row they will remember you!!! The people who work there truely add a personal touch! Go there often enough you will get a nickname (even if you don’t know it!) Turns out they’ve been calling me Jaguar guy for months! (Yeah they pay that much attention both to their customers and the quality of your food!)
One thing you will notice if you go in during slower business hours they never stop cleaning!!!! So if you like delicious food, in a clean friendly atmosphere this place is probably a good fit. If that’s not what your into then… sorry!

I think the Original Cafe in Methuen MA is the best. The food is wonderful. The service is excellent. They have a coffee club for the avid coffee drinker and it is affordable in these economic times. I would recommend it to anyone.

The Original Cafe is the best thing to happen to Methuen!! Everytime you go there you are always treated to the most delicious food by the nicest people, you always leave satisfied. It has become the favorite place to eat for our entire family!!! Hope they stick around for many, many, many years to come. It’s great to have a place close to home where you can get fresh, healthy, well prepared and tasty delights.

Had lunch yesterday at the THE ORIGINAL CAFE in Methuen, MA. This was the 1st time. Very pleased w/Cuban sandwich which was recommended by a friend.. Great atmosphere. Nice clean eatery that I would definately recommend to others.

The Orginal Cafe in Methuen has my vote for sure. The first time we ate there they catered by son and daughter’s graduation party. EXCELLENT.
