The fish at this market is the best I’ve found on the NOrth Shore in the past 20 years! The selction is great and the fish actually tastes differennt because it is so fresh! Thebiggest factor I consider when going into a fish market is the smell… and there is no fish smell at Cherry Street!

Steve Connely’s in Gloucester. It’s fresh, right off the boat (you can see people filleting it in the background) and reasonable. Only probs. – they close early (3 or so) and don’t take plastic.

I stop there 3-5 days a week to pick up fish , always fresh. I like to grill at home.
There fried fish is also delicious, never greasy .
