Salem’s historic Hawthorne Hotel brims with an old-fashioned New England charm that is both regal and relaxing. People-watching in the gracious lobby, enjoying a drink nestled near the fireplace at the Tavern, or delighting in a sumptuous brunch at Nathaniel’s are all part of the charm. Just walk out the door to Pickering Wharf or Front Street and sample many of Salem’s bewitching attractions.

Loved staying at Bass Rocks Ocean Inn in Gloucester, MA. The view was beautiful, the ocean breeze refreshing and I loved getting cookies and lemonade to eat by the pool! New rooms were added in the main house and I can’t wait to go back to stay in one of those rooms.

I absolutely love Bass Rocks Ocean Inn in Gloucester. The view is spectacular, and the staff are all so friendly. They serve a free breakfast for their guests, and their blueberry muffins are great! I would definately recommend it to anyone traveling to Massachusetts.

Stayed at the Country Garden Inn and Spa in Rowley. There are new owners and the place (gardens, surroundings etc.) are just
beautiful. They had homemade cookies in the lobby and we were booked one of their renovated suites…..king sized, pillow top mattresses, fireplace, flat screen televisions and jacuzzi.
My husband ordered a fruit, cheese and cracker tray which was
waiting for us upon arrival. It was peaceful and wonderful…can’t wait to return. Breakfast at the Village Pancake House was also wonderful (1 block away).

The Country Garden Inn & Spa in Rowley has the most beautiful grounds and their townhouses feature 200 gallon private hot tubs and private decks. We stayed and enjoyed every minute.
