Our plates have been scraped clean, pint glasses emptied, and shoes worn thin. It’s time once again to showcase the Best of the North Shore and this year we went all out. As the odometers in our cars and the moths in our wallets show all too well, it’s been a blast shopping, eating, and driving all over the North Shore in a whirlwind tour to find out just who makes the best burger, where the best bar scene is, and where to belt out your favorite karaoke song. Call it crazy. Call it impossible. We call it the best. Text by Stacey Marcus.

I have read your magazine many of times and always wondered how you find your “Best of Boston, Best of Northshore” nominees. As a reader I would like to tell you about a fantastic place that is a new hidden gem. North of Boston in a little town called Andover, is a new restaurant named LaRosa’s..and boy have our residences been waiting for a place like this. It is a very affordable sandwhich shop which features soups, salads, desserts and prepared meals you can by to take home. When you walk by at 8am in the morning you can smell all the aromas of the italian herbs and food being freshly prepared, it makes you want a chicken parmesean right then and there instead of my usual coffee and muffin. I love going in and the employees remember me by name and my usual order…it is like a “CHEERS” for Andover. The owners work their daily and the staff is very consitant and friendly. The community is very excited that they are here and as a resident I would like to recognize them. Thank you for your time and consideration.
