Picturesque high school campuses are not just for movie sets and photo shoots. While the historic buildings and beautiful grounds may look like mere idyllic settings, the private schools throughout the North Shore have a much bigger purpose: learning. These schools have tremendous history, and boast some of the nation’s best and brightest students of yesterday and today. Continuing on with this rich tradition, North Shore private schools are building the foundation for our children’s success tomorrow, right in our own backyard.

I sure hope this will be a continuing feature. If not, then I’d suggest an article headed “The North Shore’s Private High Schools” that features only three large Catholic schools and one tiny, obscure secular K-12 school misses the mark by a wide margin. Given that our region is blessed with a wide assortment of some of the country’s best and most distinguised private schools, a serious look at these would be welcomed.
