Try the Captain’s Platter or the San Francisco Cioppino and you’ll be back for more.

The Causway in Gloucester. Always fresh and very affordable. Bring your appetite, huge portions!
May 12, 2010 at 2:49 pm
Turner’s Seafood Grill & Market in Melrose, if this isn’t considered the Northshore it should be because the seafood is awesome. They have a great oyster bar where they really shuck and cook for you and a fresh fish market all in the same store. They process all their seafood themselves in their plant in Gloucester. The lobster bisque is to die for.

The Seaport Grille in Gloucester is wonderful. Very creative with their seafood offerings. Always fresh, and even the fried fish is quite delicate in flavor. Portions are generous. Crab cakes, seafood appetizer, fish and chips, uniquely seasoned fish tacos … I haven’t been disappointed yet. The bartenders are top notch with the type of service that impresses – remembering our names and drink preferences after only a couple of visits. The entire dining room and bar has a full view of classic Gloucester working harbor beauty. We’re looking forward to enjoying many summer nights with those beautiful patio doors wide open.

Farnham’s in Essex. For the fantastic, fresh food, large portions and casual with a pretty view… and you can get a beer, too! The others may be better known, be cheaper, or open all year long, but NONE of them has the full combination of the important stuff!
