Look who made an appearance today on the North Shore – it’s Haverhill’s own Tom Bergeron! We remember Tom from his early days on WBZ, especially as the host for “People Are Talking” (wow, that was a long time ago). In fact, his career in TV dates all the way back to 1972. Tom has gone on to national fame in recent years with “America’s Funniest Home Videos” and “Dancing with the Stars.” Good to see a local boy do good!

Today’s apperance at Northern Essex Community College was to promote his recently penned memoir about his years in television titled “I’m Hosting as Fast as I Can! Zen and the Art of Staying Sane in Hollywood.” He was kind enough to pose for a few pictures with us and his fans who showed up to get some autographed copies of the book and tell a few stories.
