All are invited to join the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce at the next Chamber Business Breakfast Forum on Wednesday, April 15th, 2009 at 8am at Maddie’s Sail Loft, located at 15 State Street.
About the Presentation – “Web 2.0 — How to grow your business by engaging people online” Think of the Internet “1.0” as websites that essentially put brochures and information online (along with some email and shopping.) Web 2.0, also dubbed “social media,” is all about conversation online, it’s about participation — and a power shift from companies to consumers, as consumers now have the ability to rate products and places, get information when, where and how they prefer, act as “citizen journalists” and make choices based on a whole new world of social interaction. What does this all mean to a small business? It means huge new opportunities to get your business noticed, get new customers, and understand better what the customers you already have really like, or don’t, about what you offer — all for very little cost, by the way.
In this session you will learn:
> The new rules of marketing and PR
> The new tools — rethinking your website and getting to know Twitter, Facebook, Yelp!…
> 5 things to start doing now, and 3 things to stop doing
> And what local businesses are getting it right (and some with untapped opportunity, shall we say)
