The Tea Garden
While this off-the-beaten-path spot offers well-prepared versions of all the classics, from Moo Shu Pork to General Gau’s Chicken, their “Authentic Chinese Meals” are the real draw. Try the Ghou Mei Sue Choy, packed with mushrooms and vegetables, ringed with broccoli, and cooked in a savory sauce, or the spicy Shang Dong Chicken, flavored with a special mix of herbs and cucumbers. Everything tastes freshly prepared, right down to the savory hot and sour soup. Take out is a popular option, but lacks the attractive presentation of eating in.

“Loved it! Crab Rangoon was delish, especially with hot mustard. Chinese spinach was fresh with just the right amount of garlic. Shrimp with peanuts—good flavor, good spice. General Gau’s chicken was fried, but not greasy. Ask about specials. Take out: exactly 10 minutes. Restaurant was inviting, clean, and spacious.”
