Lights, camera, cars! Last night’s grand opening event of Mercedes-Benz of Burlington (MBOB) brought out North Shore’s movers and shakers in style. Champagne was flowing upon arrival at the luxury state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz dealership on Cambridge Street. MBOB president Bernie Moreno and Mercedes-Benz USA president Stephen Cannon were on hand to greet more than 1,500 guests at one of the hottest social events this winter season.
Celebrity chefs Jason Santos and Lydia Shire offered delicious culinary dishes for this lavish affair that showcased both the latest Mercedes-Benz models along with a bevy of classics. Among the A-list crowd were Super Bowl superstar Bill Belichick and actor-comedian Lenny Clarke. During the event, Belichick presented autographed footballs to North Shore veterans U.S. Marine corpsman Zach Mayo of Wilmington and Army specialist David Hanafin and Army sergeant Michael Morgan of Burlington.
Auctioned off during the event was a more than 10 ct. zircon gem stone from Richard Berberian—owner of Elyse Jewelers, which raised funds for the charity of the evening: the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. Another item on the auction block was a Mercedez-Benz European trip for two. The evening did not stop there but continued with a Herve Leger fashion show and a late night dance party. Guests walked away with a divine swag bag full of goodies. The Mercedes-Benz showroom not only showcases sweet rides, but it also offers patrons an onsite nail salon, boutique, and espresso bar—the ultimate in ultra-luxury. www.mbob.com
