The Firehouse Center for the Arts’ Annual Fundraiser is just around the corner next Saturday evening, March 5, at the ocean at the Blue Ocean Event Center. This year marks the Firehouse’s 25th anniversary and to celebrate the firehouse is throwing a Silver Soiree.
Firehouse Center for the Arts is a member-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located on the waterfront at Market Square in Newburyport, home to the 191-seat Arakelian Theater and Firehouse Art Gallery. The Firehouse offers live theater, film, dance, music, children’s programming, and arts education for youth and adults.
The Blue Ocean Event Center overlooking the Atlantic offers the perfect venue to party the night away while tasting executive chef Harley Smith’s culinary talents, which celebrate the freshest ingredients of the sea and land. Everything from beef, shrimp, and pork, to delicious vegetarian cuisine will be on offer.
Billy Costa returns as the auctioneer extraordinaire—he’ll keep the night festive and fun while he auctions off items such as a KISS 108 studio tour, fabulous weekend getaways, a week vacation in Naples, Florida, adult cooking class for sixteen, a champagne dinner for eight, the ever-popular Yankee Homecoming Concert Nights on the Firehouse Balcony, and so much more.
In addition to the live auction, the silent auction will feature items donated by local shops and restaurants including, original artwork, jewelry, restaurant gift certificates, and home décor accessories.
“Like” the Firehouse on Facebook today, as they are posting daily photos of all auction items up for grabs and check in with the Facebook Auction Preview Photo Album for a great overview of what will be part of the auctions.
Athene Wilson & Friends returns for another year to rock the house and keep everyone dancing and singing all night long.
Institution for Savings is a leading sponsor of the event.
