The Firehouse offers a variety of entertainment—from dramas to children’s musicals to music to comedy—and they give new plays a chance to be seen and heard during their New Works Festival. Beyond that, the 191-seat theatre is situated in Newburyport’s historic downtown. For more than 20 years, the Firehouse Center has supported the cultural arts by staging broad-based productions. They draw patrons of dance, music, theatre, and fine art, and connect the greater community to the stage.
