On September 19, The Boston Bruins announced that the organization has entered into a five-year partnership with Lahey Health, making the network the official healthcare partner of the Boston Bruins. Through this partnership, the two organizations will collaborate closely on a number of endeavors, including Lahey Health orthopedic staff working under the direction of the current Bruins medical team to assist in providing care to Bruins players during training camp and at select home games throughout the NHL season.
“We are very proud to partner with Lahey Health, given the great reputation they have in the New England medical community,” said Bruins President Cam Neely. “This partnership with Lahey Health is a natural fit on a number of levels, as we share many of the same values and ideas regarding preventative and reactive medicine, as well as the responsibility we each have to serve our community. We are excited to collaborate with them on many new projects moving forward.”
As the official healthcare partner, Lahey Health will have a significant presence in the TD Garden with in-arena and concourse signage. The Bruins and Lahey Health will also work together to host and organize community initiatives and appearances with Bruins players and staff throughout the New England area to serve those less fortunate. Other elements of the partnership include strong visibility on the Bruins social and digital channels as well as print and television advertising.
“We have long admired the manner in which the Boston Bruins have served the greater Boston area, both on the ice and through community outreach programs,” said Howard Grant, JD, MD, President and CEO of Lahey Health. “This partnership provides us with a wonderful opportunity to engage with the communities we proudly serve through health and wellness programs that benefit everyone. Our entire employee base is ecstatic to be a part of two iconic local brands joining together.”
