As part of Essex National Heritage “Trails and Sails” event, Salem Historical Society will present the lecture “The McIntire District in the 17th Century” at Hamilton Hall. Salem Food Tours is pleased to be offering a mini tasting of spices and sweeteners used in early Colonial cooking prior to the lecture. This is a free/open to the public event.
September 21:
Special Autumn Stroll with Salem Food Tours, benefiting the Philips House Museum, includes a cheese, wine, sweet and spice tasting. Partial proceeds benefit this amazing Salem historic home. Join the Salem Spirits Trolley on a delicious excursion around Salem and enjoy tastings at Far From the Tree, Notch Brewery, and Deacon Giles Distillery. Come and learn all about news and brews, such as Yankee Ingenuity Vodka (and soon to be released Absinthe des Voisins) at Deacon Giles.
October Tour Schedule:
Salem Food Tours offers its regular Food Tours by request Monday through Thursdays in October. AM Coffee Walks are offered seven days a week for the entire month, and the popular Weekend Kick-off Stroll Friday afternoons from 3 p.m. until 5.30 p.m. For more information, please visit our reservations page.
