Bridgewell, a nonprofit based in Peabody, providing social and human services that empower people with disabilities and other life challenges to live safe, self-directed, and productive lives, commemorated its 60th anniversary on Monday, January 8, with a cake cutting ceremony with staff and members of its Rosewood II Day Program, among others. Bridgewell was incorporated on January 8, 1958 and president and CEO Kelly J. Martin wanted to celebrate this momentous occasion and encouraged all of Bridgewell’s programs to get a cake to celebrate the organization’s birthday.
Smiling faces filled the celebration as the nonprofit gathered to reflect on 60 years of service. Bridgewell supports approximately 6,300 people and their families through community housing, day programs, outpatient treatment, recovery services, education and employment training. Bridgewell will be celebrating the anniversary throughout the year.
