Today is Cause Day and Andover’s West Middle School students and families have more than exceeded the original goals for this event!
As of press time, online donations total $3,915, while donations collected in envelopes currently stand at an additional $4,102 and rising!
That’s an impressive $8,017 total with additional donations still coming in! One-hundred percent of donations go directly to the cause of your choice. causefund.org
This fundraiser has caught the attention of Wyc Grousbeck, the owner of the Boston Celtics. WMS and the Arthur Coolidge Middle School in Reading are the first two schools in the state to support Cause Fund. Mr. Grousbeck has offered to raffle off a basketball, signed by all of the 2018 Boston Celtics (including Kyrie Irving), as a prize to support this initiative!
In response to this challenge, Cause Fund is holding the online portion of this fund drive open until Sunday, February 25 at 7 p.m. WMS is in a friendly competition with Arthur Coolidge Middle School—if they have a higher online total by that time, they get the raffle. If WMS has a higher total at that time, they get the raffle.
For every $20 raised online, you get a raffle ticket. So, if you raise $100, that’s five tickets. If WMS beats Arthur Coolidge and gets the raffle, then a name will be drawn, and the winner will receive the autographed basketball the week after break! Currently, WMS is about $300 ahead of Arthur Coolidge in the online fundraising.
