With temperatures on the rise (hooray!), it’s time for Bostonians to come out of hibernation and onto the sidewalks and patios of Boston’s best area restaurants.
Below is a list patio opening dates for the best spots (new and old) around town to enjoy food, drinks, and warm days and nights, al fresco!
Tapestry
69 Kilmarnock St., Boston
Tapestry’s covered and heated patio, just steps away from Fenway Park, is the perfect spot to enjoy Neapolitan pizzas, bar bites, and fun cocktails while playing board games and soaking up the sun with friends. Open for dinner and weekend brunch service, Tapestry’s 30-person patio serves up delicious menu items from its Expo Kitchen/brunch menus and features a newly installed mural from local artist Emma Rickert.

Nebo Cucina and Enoteca
520 Atlantic Ave., Boston
Situated along the Greenway on Atlantic Avenue, Nebo’s patio seats 75 and boasts large umbrellas, heat lamps, and breathtaking views of the city. It is available for seating from open to close serving the full menu.

Doretta Taverna
79 Park Plaza, Boston
Although Doretta may not boast views of the Mediterranean, enjoying chef Michael Schlow’s and chef de cuisine Brendan Pelley’s Greek menu al fresco will have guests feeling one step closer to the Greek islands. Doretta Taverna’s patio seats 80 and serves the full menu during regular restaurant hours.

Outfitted with an outdoor fireplace and bar area, Tico’s downtown Casamigos patio has an 80-person occupancy.
Sip, shoot, or stir Casamigos Tequila just the way you like it with Tico’s special menu of libations tucked away under the sunshine and quiet of St. James Street in Boston’s Back Bay. Enjoy this secret tequila oasis Tuesday – Friday from 3 p.m. until close.

The Salty Pig
130 Dartmouth St., Boston
Located in the heart of Copley Square, The Salty Pig’s 60-person offers diners great views of the Back Bay while enjoying the restaurants variety of pizzas, charcuterie, craft beer, and more.

Located in the heart of Jamaica Plain, Canary Square’s patio is a relaxing spot to unwind at many of its umbrella- covered tables. Located adjacent to the restaurant, the patio is attached to the main dining space with large, retractable garage doors and seats 50. ?

SRV’s courtyard patio is located in the rear of the restaurant in a unique space surrounded by neighboring office buildings. The cloistered area features banquettes, whimsical market lighting, greenery, and seating for 46. Or if you prefer more of a front row view, check out their 12-seat patio located out front along Columbus Avenue.

Mare
3 Mechanic Street?
Hidden from the street and the crowds of tourists that pack the North End on a warm day, Mare, a seafood-focused restaurant from local restaurateur and chef Frank DePasquale, is a great option for guests looking for a lounge-y patio. This outdoor space is complete with fire pits, couches, tables and a great view of the Financial District skyline.

Trattoria il Panino
280 Hanover Street and 11 Parmenter Street in Boston
Trattoria Il Panino boasts an expansive dining area underneath a retractable awning that opens dependent upon the weather. Trattoria Il Panino’s patio seats 50 on the Parmenter Street side.

600 Legacy Place, Dedham

Once the exercise yard for the prison inmates back when the Liberty Hotel was once the Charles Street Jail, Scampo’s outdoor patio is now considered the courtyard. Located off the main dining room, the weather-permitting patio seats up to 68 guests and serves brunch, lunch and dinner. The elegant courtyard space is available for appetizer receptions before private dining events and full buy-outs as well.

Back Bay Social Club

Located right across from the Prudential Center, Back Bay Social Club’s patio is a great location for dining in the heart of Back Bay. With the full menu offered during full business hours and regular patio parties thrown during the season, up to 32 guests can enjoy the warm sunshine right out front.

Towne Stove & Spirits
900 Boylston St., Boston
Located right in front of Towne’s entrance and the Prudential Center, up to 60 guests can enjoy the full menu on Towne’s spacious patio located in the heart of Boylston Street. Towne’s patio is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on week days and from 11 a.m to 10 p.m. on weekends.

Loretta’s Last Call
1 Lansdowne St., Boston
Wrapping all the way around the front of the restaurant from Ipswich Street to Lansdowne Street, Loretta’s lit up patio gives you a front row view of Boston’s Fenway. Seating up to 56 guests, including the four prime seats at their outdoor bar, Loretta’s full menu is available here during their full business hours, including their newly launched lunch! Grab a seat and enjoy brunch, lunch or dinner right next to Boston’s Fenway Park! A perfect spot for before or after Red Sox games, rented out parties, or during their seasonal patio parties. Located right across the street from Fenway Park, The Lansdowne Pub’s street side patio seats up 34 guests and offers their full menu. Located right next to Fenway Park with an official Fenway Park Batting Cage, enjoy Game On’s patio on a beautiful day when the sports bar opens their big garage doors and you’ll really feel like part of the fun.
