The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce, serving Essex, Gloucester, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Rockport, invites all to Cape Ann’s largest business and social gathering, the 97th Annual Celebration and Installation of Officers. The Chamber will host an elegant dinner reception featuring live music by local favorite, Safety. The reception will include remarks from 2018 Chamber President Patricia Slade, recently retired from the Manchester Cricket, about this past year’s accomplishments. She will then pass the gavel to incoming president Bruce Feldman of Gove & Feldman Insurance Agency, Inc., who will speak about the organization’s 2019 priorities.
“Working Together to Shape Our Future,” the theme of this year’s celebration, symbolizes the Chamber’s focus on working collaboratively with organizations throughout Cape Ann to make this an even better place to live, work, and play. With Bruce Feldman at the helm, the Chamber looks forward to strengthening its initiatives and partnerships related to business and regional promotion, economic development, and education.
“This wonderful event at the beginning of the new year gathers people together from throughout Cape Ann to celebrate the Chamber as the organization that binds us together,“ said Chamber CEO Ken Riehl. “Our presenting sponsor this year is Destino’s Subs & Catering, marking their 60th year in business. Celebrating in tandem with Destino’s is a great illustration of how we implement our mission: to help businesses grow and provide for the economic prosperity and high quality of life of our region,” he added.
The annual celebration will be held at The Beauport Hotel, at 55 Commercial Street in Gloucester, MA. The Cocktail Reception will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a brief program, dinner, and dancing to the music of Safety.
Tickets, $100 per person, can be purchased at capeannchamber.com. Contact Kerry McKenna at the Chamber (978-283-1601) with any questions about the event.
