The beloved bakery opens shop in a new, permanent North Shore location!
Summer bodies beware: BellaVella Bakery and Coffee Bar has recently set up shop in Middleton, with offerings of delicious cookies, pastries, bagels, espresso, and more! The bakery will be open Mondays through Saturdays, from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Conveniently located off Route 114 next to Maggie’s Farm, the bakery has taken over Sol Bean’s former location and adorably decked it out in their signature Tiffany blue and baby pink décor. For the past six years, BellaVella has won Northshore magazine’s coveted Best of North Shore award for cookies, and with good reason.
I had the pleasure of indulging in a few baked goods upon my visit, and they did not disappoint. The Bianco e Nero cookies were as visually appealing as they were tasty, with crispy-on-the-outside, chewy-on-the-inside dark chocolate goodness, and a delightfully messy powdered sugar exterior. The raspberry thumbprint cookies were the perfect blend of tart jam and crumbly shortbread, and the whisky cake was moist and not overly sweet, with just the right punch of booze. This cake pairs perfectly with any of the espresso drinks from BellaVella’s coffee selection. Other tempting offerings include English muffin pizza, colorful anisette cookies, Limoncello cake, berry blast muffins, and more, which I will be sure to sample upon my next visit.
Aside from their fresh-baked treats, BellaVella sells all kinds of goods from local businesses, like jarred pesto in a myriad of flavors from Lara’s Cuisine, specialty olive oil from The Branch, and skincare from Scrub It, among others.
BellaVella is the perfect spot to stop for breakfast, grab coffee with friends, or pick up a box of baked goods for corporate events and parties (or for yourself). With their friendly staff, quaint Instagram-friendly décor, and mouth-watering treats, Bellavella is sure to emerge as Middleton’s new favorite bakery.
