Salem Farmers’ Market, Salem
The Salem Farmers’ Market is a tradition that dates back to 1634, yet every year—and even every week—there’s something new to see and do. The Puritans of 1600s Salem would recognize the fruits, veggies, honey, bread, and other locally grown and made goodies that are on offer every Thursday over the summer and fall. But they’d be surprised by most everything else, from the live music to the vegan sweets from Wild Heart Vegan and prepared foods from vendors like Bridges Nepali Cuisine and Mei Mei Dumplings. There are several new vendors at the 2024 market, including natural pet treat company Totally Hook’d. 32 Derby Square, Salem, 978-744-0004 x115, salemfarmersmarket.orgReaders’ Choice
