During the month of November, CHOPPS American Bar and Grill welcomed top local talent to the CHOPPS stage for the first annual Burlington Idol competition. The top fifteen finalists were selected among dozens of online submission videos and competed live on the stage for the month-long competition. Burlington Idol kicked off on Monday, November 5 with fifteen performers, and continued every Monday in November.
A panel of celebrity judges, led by award-winning singer/songwriter and Burlington Idol host Jay Psaros, cast their votes live to determine the singers that advanced to the next round. Performances were judged on their technical ability, stage presence, and crowd reaction. Guests were also invited to watch the performances and cast their vote live. The contestent with the most audience votes in rounds 1, 2, and 3 advanced to the next round as the fan-favorite.
