Ready for the Halloween season? The fine people from FunDead Publications plan to get you in the spooky mood for this Halloween. FunDead has set up a series of events beginning this September on Friday the 22nd going until the end of October. All events will be located in and around the Salem area.

Salem Horror Opening Night Reception at Peabody Essex Museum
Friday, September 22, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

From the Depths w/ Special Guest the Violin Monster at MAGMA in Gloucester
Saturday, September 23, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
A truly special night of entertainment put on by FunDead and The Eastern Point Lit House promises creepy story and poetry readings as well as a performance from the Violin Monster! Tickets are already on sale here, and the event’s Facebook page can be reached here.
Notch and FunDead’s Excellent Adventure at Notch Brewing (Sponsored by Creative Salem)
Saturday, September 30, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Notch hosts FunDead’s “One Night in Salem” party to celebrate its newest anthology of chilling short stories under the title of One Night in Salem, naturally. FunDead Pop-up Shop
FunDead will have a pop-up shop beginning September 30 and going on every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the month of October. FunDead plans to have special guest writers for book signatures!
Women with Guts at Cinema Salem
Saturday, October 7, from 6 p.m. to midnight
This event, part of Salem Horror Fest, plans to celebrate women in horror with the New England premiere screening of Tragedy Girls! Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood will follow the screening with a post-credit Q&A with the film’s stars, Lar Park Lincoln and Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees) after the reading, as well as other entertainment during the night. Sinister and Sweet Candlelit High Tea at Witch City Wicks (Sponsored by Creative Salem)
Saturday, October 21, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
An luxurious night of tea, food (vegan friendly), and scary readings all set by candlelight to add a more creepy venue. Each person in attendance is promised a gift to take home with them afterward to commemorate this event. For the menu and ticket sales visit the Facebook event page here.
Visions in the Dark: Salem & the Supernatural
Sunday, October 22, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A lecture event about the history of Salem and its relationship with the supernatural and spiritualism. Unfortunately, this event is currently sold-out but FunDead is presently attempting to find a second night at a different locale.
