Back by popular demand! On Thursday, September 6, the Marblehead Museum will present a talk by Dan Dixey, showcasing photos from his collection of historic Marblehead images. Dixey is an 11th generation Marbleheader who is well known for his extensive photo collection, knowledge of the town, and generous spirit. Dixey began collecting Marblehead memorabilia over 30 years ago. Dixey’s collection consists of books, photos, stereo views, cabinet cards, postcards, glass negatives, film negatives, slides, and other written paper material. The lecture will show images of Marblehead from the past. Dixey’s commentary will be the perfect accompaniment to this wonderful showcase. This event is sure to sell out, so don’t miss it!
The presentation will take place at 7 p.m. at the Old Town House, 1 Market Square. Admission is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers. Tickets may be purchased online at marbleheadmuseum.org or at 781-631-1768. Preregistration is required.
