In the past two years Holy Cow has received nine awards from the National Ice Cream Retailers Association. The Gloucester location is the original store; the second shop is at 86 Andover Street in Peabody.

There aren’t too many North Shore natives who didn’t grow up going to Richardson’s a time or two (or 20). It’s such a tradition that even standing in line on a summer night waiting for your favorite flavor is part of the fun. It also doesn’t hurt that the ice cream is delicious.
