Red 8 at Encore Boston Harbor, Everett
Cantonese cooking specialist Richard Chen brought a constellation of five-star and five-diamond awards to the North Shore, and also helmed Wing Lei at Wynn Las Vegas—the only Chinese restaurant in North America to have ever earned a Michelin star. Chef Chen sticks with tradition, ensuring the cooking method, seasoning, and flavors do not change. The Hong Kong barbeque alone is worth the trip—but so are the soups and the fabulous array of dumplings. Cantonese preparations can be complicated, and it’s clear this chef takes no short cuts. Everything is deeply flavored, scratch-made, and highest quality. Encore Boston Harbor, 1 Broadway, Everett, 857-770-3388, encorebostonharbor.com
