Notch Brewing, Salem
At any one time, you’ll find more than a dozen different brews crafted in house and available on draft in this taproom. Offerings take a lead from top brewing countries in the world, with classics like Session Pils, saluting the pale lagers of the Czech Republic, alongside more unusual offerings like Grodziskie (pronounced Grow-Jees-K’ya), a smoked beer sometimes called Polish champagne. The focus has always been on low-alcohol “sessionable” beers, and the brewery recently took that mission a step further, introducing its first zero-proof offerings, including a nonalcoholic Hazy IPA, ripe with juicy tropical notes. 283R Derby St., Salem, 978-412-7674, notchbrewing.comReaders’ Choice
