At the Cookie Jar Kitchen, the cookies are equal parts visual art and tempting dessert. Owner Jennie Carens bakes up classic drop cookies as well as decorated sugar cookies, iced with artistic flair. Her flavors rotate with the season—lemon-blueberry in the summer, pumpkin chocolate chip in the fall—and often incorporate ingredients from local farms.
