In late December 2009, the Pentucket District was shattered when we found out about the tragic death of Matthew McCarthy, Captain of the Class of 2010 Pentucket High School Hockey Team. Matt passed away following a routine practice at the place he loved most, The Rink. Matt’s passion for hockey and his zest for life touched the lives of so many in our community. It goes without saying how much one person can change the way we all think about our everyday living. Since the age of 13, Matt travelled all over New England and Canada playing in elite hockey programs, his dream was to play for a college that loved hockey.
In an effort to keep Matt’s memory alive, give back to our community and memorialize our Friend, Son, Brother and Leader – we have established the Matthew J. McCarthy Memorial Fund. This fund was created by friends and family to provide college scholarships to deserving young women and men entering their freshman year in college.

VIP Dinner:
A special dinner with Boston Alumni, including a silent auction, will be held at Michaels Function Hall, Haverhill, MA following the game. Tickets are $100.00 per person, $50 for second ticket and $700 for a table.
Game Tickets/Boston Alumni Sports Clinic
All game tickets are $10.00 per ticket. A Boston Alumni Sports Clinic will also be held from 12:30-1:30 for Mites thru PeeWee majors in travel hockey programs. Space is limited to 60 players; cost is $24.00 including player’s game ticket.
