The 3rd Annual Boston Children’s at Peabody Winter Wonderland Event, held on Tuesday, December 5, featured more than 82 volunteers from local businesses, who sponsored and volunteered for this magical day. 12 Characters, 9 Craft/Activity Booths/photographer where all volunteers.
This year’s event had 600 attendees, who enjoyed 12 characters, nine craft/activity booths, and a photographer—all volunteers. Each year the attendance has increased exponentially and the décor continues to surpass that of the year before, says Nancy Gallugi, Senior Patient Experience Representative.
The goal each year is to have an open house to provide Boston Children’s patients and families with an opportunity to experience the clinic as a place not just for hospital visits but where fun and holiday cheer can also happen—bringing joy to all! This is made possible due to the amazing collaboration between BCH teams, staff, and the good will and generosity from the community partners.
