Chopps American Bar and Grill hosts a cornhole tournament to raise money for child cancer patients
Cornhole, beloved summer barbecue pastime, now serves a greater purpose at Chopps American Bar and Grill’s Cornhole for a Cause. On Thursday, August 15, the restaurant invites guests to compete in a cornhole tournament, with proceeds going towards the MassGeneral Hospital for Children Cancer Center. Attendees will also get the chance to take part in a silent auction and raffles on the sidelines.
Like any great sporting event, Chopps will have refreshments available for tasting from Ipswich Ale Brewing, Lord Hobo, Night Shift Brewing,White Lion Brewing and Stormalong Cider. Specialty cocktails from Keel Vodka will also be available. Steve Zimei, Chopps’ executive chef, will be serving up small plates alongside gelato from Ice Haus, while Boston-based musician Kali Stoddard-Imari provides some dance tunes.
Tickets can be purchased here for a donation of $15 per person or $50 for team of 2. All proceeds from the auction and raffles will go towards the MassGeneral Hospital for Children Cancer Center.
