Lorraine Roy Presents ‘Runway USA’ at North Shore Music Theatre Lorraine Roy Designer Collections announced their plan to host a charity fashion event at the North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly. Runway USA: Celebrating Women in Uniform will be held at the theatre on Monday, November 7th at 6pm and will benefit military support organizations including Operation Troop Support and the USO serving New England.
The event will feature food tastings, boutique shopping and a spectacular fashion show that will delight guests in the theatre-in-the-round setting that has become so signature of the North Shore Music Theatre. The show, which will be emceed by Country 102.5 radio personalities Lori Grande and Carolyn Kruse, will also feature military honorees who will be recognized throughout the evening.
“The staff at North Shore Music Theatre was able to see our vision for this event and make it a reality,” said Jeanne Hennessey, owner of Lorraine Roy Designer Collections in Danvers. “We wanted to raise the bar and create a fun and inspirational fashion event that would honor our military and help us all remember what they have done and continue to do for this country.”
The festivities will get underway at 6pm with shopping opportunities provided by area boutiques and artisans. Many local restaurants will be on hand to provide food samples of their signature menu offerings and guests will have a chance to take part in a number of raffles for some unique prizes. The fashion show will begin promptly at 8pm followed by a dessert reception for VIP ticket holders hosted by Cakes for Occasions at 9pm.
Tickets are $50; VIP tickets are $100. All proceeds will benefit military support non-profit organizations including Operation Troop Support, an organization that serves our deployed men and women in uniform by providing comfort items to military hospitals, sending care packages to troops, and coordinating a regional military family support group program. Funds raised will also benefit the USO whose mission is to provide morale, welfare and recreation-type services to our men and women in uniform.
