Executive chef Tyler Kinnett and the team at Harvest welcome James Beard Award-winning and food editor of The Washington Post, Joe Yonan, to showcase the America The Great Cookbook alongside chefs Irene Li and Evan Mallet at Harvest’s “The Book and The Cook” dinner series.

Meet the gastronomic trailblazers of the current American food scene from Joe Yonan’s America The Great Cookbook at Harvest’s next installment of “The Book and The Cook” dinner series. On March 25, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., guests can experience an elaborate dinner inspired by the recipes within the chosen cookbook, which will be crafted with the help from Harvest’s Executive chef Tyler Kinnett and executive pastry chef Joshua Livsey. The Washington Post editor spent time asking chefs, artisans, and food celebrities from across the U.S. to share their favorite dishes that they enjoy preparing for loved ones. The result is a comprehensive text, full of beautiful narratives and photographs, documenting the impressive spectrum of food offered throughout the nation.

Two of New England’s most established chefs, Mei Mei’s Irene Li and Black Trumpet’s Evan Mallet, will team up with chef Kinnett and chef Livsey to expertly prepare a four-course meal. The dinner will begin with a short reception where guests can mingle and meet the chefs. Throughout the evening attendees will have the opportunity to ask Joe Yonan questions about his culinary experiences and the stories that inspired America The Great Cookbook. The $95 ticket also includes a signed copy of America the Great Cookbook, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to No Kid Hungry, Share Our Strength’s national campaign to end childhood hunger.

Price is $95 per person (inclusive of tax and gratuity). Space is limited, and reservations are required. Call 617.868.2255 directly to book seats. Or visit eventbrite.com/e/the-book-and-the-cook-america-the-great-cookbook-tickets-43571034136 to purchase tickets.
