The Northeast Arc, a not-for-profit organization that helps children and adults with, or at risk for developing, disabilities become full participants in the community, and Northeast Clinical Services, which provides a full range of home health care services specializing in the provision of continuous care nursing services, will merge into one company effective July 1, 2018.Northeast Clinical Services, Inc. was founded by the Northeast Arc in 2003 to deliver continuous care nursing services to medically fragile individuals as well as the full range of skilled intermittent home health care services to respond to the lack of home nursing services, particularly for children. It has always run as a separate and distinct company, but with the merger will become a division of Northeast Arc.“This is the right move for both organizations,” says Jo Ann Simons, president & CEO, Northeast Arc.  “Northeast Clinical staff will become Northeast Arc staff as will any new employees who would like to apply for the many nursing positions we have open to meet growing demand.”

The new organization brings additional resources, knowledge and expertise from both organizations while streamlining functions such as payroll, billing, and human resources to reduce expenses.

“We worked with Eric Curtis at Curtis Strategy to ensure we were aligning resources appropriately to ensure a successful merger,” adds Simons. “This new structure supports our dedicated staff in continuing to provide the outstanding nursing care our clients have come to expect while also building on their skills for the future.”
