The 2nd Annual Salem Comedy & Spirits Festival is set for Thursday January 12th through Saturday January 14th, 2017. The three-day festival features over 15 comedians at a variety of popular Salem venues. The Festival celebrates the craft of comedy, both for the audience as well as for the seasoned comedians performing each night.
“We are so excited for this year’s Festival” says festival producer and comedian Mark Scalia. “Last year was a sell out and the feedback from both audience and the comedians was phenomenal. Our goal is always to have a celebration of comedy, a real appreciation of the craft in a relaxed, happy environment – everything up close and personal. Both the comics and the audience get to feel like they are at home, with great moments all the way through.”
Local venues for this year’s Festival are: night one, Thursday, at Far From the Tree, featuring their award-winning hard cider. Night two, Friday, is at Deacon Giles Distillery and their newly launched Speakeasy Lab, featuring their award-winning gin and rum with special cocktails. The finale night three, Saturday, will be upstairs at the renowned Finz Seafood &Grill. Each night will feature different comics.
Salem Comedy & Spirits Festival tickets are now on sale. Early booking highly suggested.
Says Scalia “As a comedian, you have a basic need to make people laugh. This is a unique opportunity to raise everyone’s spirits in winter and create fantastic memories for both the audience and the talented comedians we are honored to have performing.”
