Kane’s Donuts announced today a collaboration with Boston Harbor Distillery for two limited-edition December flavors of the month: the Maple Cream Liqueur Donut and Tiramisu Donut. These scrumptious creations will be available in December at all three Kane’s Donuts’ locations: Kane’s Legacy on Lincoln Ave. in Saugus, Kane’s Flagship at Essex Landing in Saugus, and Kane’s Downtown in Boston’s Financial District.
Using Boston Harbor Distillery’s Coffee Liqueur and Maple Cream Liqueur, Kane’s has crafted a pair of true seasonal delights. The Tiramisu Donut is a yeast-style donut with Boston Harbor Coffee Liqueur infused into the batter and creamy coffee filling, dusted in cocoa powder and topped with chocolate-covered espresso beans. The Maple Cream Liqueur Donut is also a yeast-style donut filled with mascarpone cheese infused with Boston Harbor Maple Cream Liqueur, then topped with maple frosting and crunchy toasted walnuts.
The Boston Harbor Coffee Liqueur features local ingredients found throughout New England, including Autocrat Coffee Syrup blend from Rhode Island, a cold-brew of Barrington Coffee Roasters “413” Roast, and Ackermann Grade “B” Maple Syrup from Cabot, Vermont. Boston Harbor Maple Cream Liqueur is blended with fresh Wisconsin cream, rum, and local maple syrup.
“There is no better pairing for the winter season than fresh donuts and warm ingredients like maple and bourbon,” said Rhonda Kallman, founder of Boston Harbor Distillery.
For the month of December, Kane’s is also featuring holiday favorites like the Egg Nog Donut, a cake-style donut made with Pure Country Eggnog and just enough rum to make it taste festive, and loaded with freshly ground nutmeg then dipped in Kane’s signature honey glaze. Or try their gluten-free Gingerbread, boldly spiced with everything that makes gingerbread delicious and glazed with Kane’s signature honey glaze.
“The holidays are about family and traditions, and so are we,” said Paul Delios, co-owner and president of Kane’s Handcrafted Donuts. “That’s exactly why we partner with like-minded companies like Boston Harbor Distillery to create donuts that celebrate the holiday spirit and flavors of the season.”
