The streets of Paris come alive for one day only at The Beehive in Boston’s South End with the one-day lunch pop-up, “Café for a Day”, harkening back to the very roots of the South End landmark. “La Ruche” (the beehive in French) was an artist’s residence in the Montparnasse district of Paris, an idea that was the genesis of what is now The Beehive in Boston, a venue inspired by the marrying of art, culture, food, wine, and community.
On Thursday, August 2, from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., The Beehive will embrace that very spirit, and transport guests to the bustling cafés of Paris with its one-day pop-up, serving a selection of rustic baguette sandwiches with bread provided by Clear Flour Bakery, fresh salads, and more, with featured beverages including Archer Roose Rosé from Provence 2017 for a leisurely lunch. Diners can enjoy The Beehive Café two ways – grab-and-go a la carte, or as a three-course Prix Fixe for $12.50 (+tax and gratuity), complete with Carrot Salad, a variety of Baguette Sandwiches, including Country Ham & Gruyere Cheese with French Butter, and Chicken Salad with Tomato and Cornichons, and The Beehive’s signature Crème Caramel for dessert. Executive Chef James Lyons will also offer an additional option of Tuna Nicoise Salad & Dessert for $17.50. All Beverages will be available a la carte.
With French music in the air, and wine flowing throughout the patio, guests will be transported from Boston to Paris, but for one day only. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling The Beehive at 617-423-0069.
