July will feature the renowned Night Shift Brewing from Everett, Massachusetts, an early partner of the Bit Bar crew. August will be split between two new and exciting breweries from neighboring Beverly: Gentile Brewing Co. and Old Planters Brewing Co. September will feature Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers from Framingham. Closing the season will be Two Roads Brewing Co. from Stratford, Connecticut, for Haunted Happenings in October.
Each brewery will be featured exclusively on the four tap lines of the brand new outdoor bar. Tasting flights will be available. Traditional beer garden fare like bratwurst and house-made beer cheese will be available at the beer garden in addition to the entire regular Bit Bar food and bar menu.
“We are excited to transform our amazing patio into a showcase for the talented brewers of New England. We hope that it will become a community backyard for the North Shore and a nice complement to the vibrancy of summertime Salem,” says Bit Bar co-owner Joshua Allen.
The Bit Bar Beer Garden will be open seven days a week, weather permitting, from June 1 through October 31. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday noon to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 10 p.m.
