North Andover, MA – If a real horse or pony under the tree isn’t a possibility for a horse-loving friend or pony-crazy child this holiday season, the chance to go horseback riding or play on a horse farm could be the next best thing! Windrush Farm offers gift certificates for a wide selection of riding and unmounted activities for riders aged six and above.
The fun includes mounted games, in which riders think up and then play games on their ponies, and creative crafts, where children paint horseshoes, make colorful bridles, and develop their creative sides. “Snow Much Fun” offers outdoor adventures on the farm, including actually dashing through the snow (weather permitting). Windrush also offers a new winter trail-riding program for riders who wish to learn trail etiquette and trail riding skills.
Windrush Farm, founded in 1964 and located on the North Andover/Boxford line, expands and enriches personal, emotional, and physical abilities through partnership with horses and the environment. Clients include children and adults with and without special needs, youth at risk, veterans, and survivors of human trafficking. Each year, Windrush provides an array of educational services and therapeutic activities for more than 2,000 children and adults and their families.
Windrush offers programs for riders with and without special needs, and many of the offered classes are integrated.
Valid for one year, the holiday gift certificates can also be used to book a slot for Pony Pals, Windrush’s popular weekly summer program where children spend an entire week on a pony farm!
