It’s officially ski season—Killington Resort in Vermont opened its lifts to season pass holders at 11 a.m. on Sunday, November 3, and to the general public at 9 a.m. on Monday, November 4.
All current open terrain is suitable only for intermediate and above skiers and riders, due to early season conditions and ongoing snowmaking. The real-time conditions and operating schedule can be found at www.killington.com/conditions. One of the two currently open lifts, the North Ridge Quad, makes its debut this season. Also debuting this season is the Woodward Mountain Park, a network of terrain zones for all ability levels.
Killington, the largest ski and snowboard destination in Eastern North America, will be open daily, weather permitting, for the rest of the season. The mountain is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends and peak days. Daily lift tickets are $59 for adults, $45 for youths, and $50 for seniors.
“There’s a lot to celebrate this year opening weekend at Killington,” says Mike Solimano, president and general manager of Killington Resort. Grab your snow pants and get ready for another New England Winter. For more information, visit killington.com.
