Beverly-based Windover Construction has recently announced that it has completed its fourth home for homeless veterans just in time for the holidays. Howard House in Brockton joins Pleasant Street Apartments in Beverly, a renovated historic industrial building that contains 32 units; Bedford Green in Bedford; and Valley Brook Village in Lyons, New Jersey. The four properties combined provide over 175 units for veterans.

The construction of Howard House, a 13,000-square-foot facility that features 14 furnished efficiency apartments, common areas, and 24/7 service programs to support each resident, as well as the three other properties, was made possible through a public-private partnership between the Veterans Administration thanks to a variety of grants, loans and enhanced-leases at surplus government; Peabody Partners Inc.; the Affordable Housing and Services Collaborative, Inc.; and Windover Construction, which led the development at each facility and “assured quality and well-designed homes were created.”
